Assalamu Alaykum (peace be upon you)
IMED is proud to announce our inaugural interfaith iftar this Ramadan. During this blessed month, IMED welcomes students and staff of all faiths and backgrounds to share in the breaking of the fast at Maghreb (sunset). Not only will there be a wide selection of food and drink to enjoy, but it will also be a chance to learn about how Muslim healthcare professionals balance work with fasting.
For this event to be as successful and enjoyable for everyone as possible, we would be grateful for any donations towards the the running of the event. The virtues of feeding a fasting person during Ramadan are great as the following Hadith states:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person.” Sunan al-Tirmidhī 807
If you would like to donate, please follow the below link.
If you are interested in attending the iftar, please fill in the form below. We look forward to welcoming you on the 7th June at 20:30 pm in the Wolfson Common Room
